The IR Transponder is an infrared beam transmitter, positioned on the wall of the box, and used in combination with the IR Chronometer receiver.
The device has to be positioned as close as possible to the wall edge, track side, in a perpendicular position to the side of the track, in order to make sure that the wall does not interfere with the infrared beams.
The IR Transponder guarantees a range of 25 metres, and can be powered by a 9V local power source (optional accessory Cod. WU203) or with a common PP3 9V battery with a life of about 15 hours (it is recommended that a high quality battery is used).
Never use batteries or a power source with a voltage higher than 9 volts when feeding the transmitter as the device would be irreparably damaged.
